For the first time in 10 years, ABI’s Complex Financial Restructuring Program is back in Las Vegas!

This program offers a unique approach to understanding the role of investment bankers and financial advisors in insolvency and restructuring. A case study will be presented as faculty members play the role of major constituents and dramatize the various perspectives of parties-in-interest.

ABI and The Walter Shapero Symposium Committee are pleased to announce the inaugural Walter Shapero Sixth Circuit Moot Court Competition and Symposium. Taking place on Presidents’ Day, this regional contest is a precursor to the 27th Annual Duberstein Moot Court Competition, co-sponsored by the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) and St. John’s University School of Law in New York.

ABI and the Recovery and Insolvency Specialists Association (RISA) are partnering to bring you the 2019 Caribbean Insolvency Symposium in Grand Cayman! Returning once again to this international financial hub, the educational program has been designed to provide attendees with an interactive learning experience focused on insolvency issues in the Caribbean and beyond.

The prestigious ABI Corporate Restructuring Competition provides students from leading business schools an opportunity to solve a hypothetical realistic business case of a distressed company before an audience of experts in the turnaround/crisis- management/restructuring industries.

ABI’s Cross-Border Insolvency Program, hosted by ABI’s International Committee, will be held at the Dentons US LLP, Midtown Manhattan. The program features a unique gathering of speakers from several nations discussing today’s most relevant cross-border cases and topics.

ABI’s outstanding consumer bankruptcy program returns this fall to the Chicago area. This day-long educational conference is devoted entirely to the consumer bankruptcy professional and will focus on current issues affecting debtors and creditors in consumer cases. This year’s program will tackle compensation issues and chapter 13, and will feature a special session on credit scores and reports.
