Alexandria, Va. — ABI announces that Timothy Anzenberger of Adams and Reese LLP (Ridgeland, Miss.) has been selected as one of ABI’s “40 Under 40,” ABI’s annual program that recognizes 40 of the top insolvency industry professionals under the age of 40. The honorees will be recognized at a special ceremony on Dec. 9 at ABI’s 2022 Winter Leadership Conference at the La Quinta Resort & Club in La Quinta, Calif.
Anzenberger is a partner with Adams and Reese LLP and litigates commercial cases before federal and state courts. He also represents creditors in bankruptcy matters and has briefed and argued appeals in both federal and state appellate courts. Anzenberger is passionate about and has written and spoken on pro bono appellate work. He has served on the Pro Bono Committee of the American Bar Association’s Council of Appellate Lawyers and authored a chapter of the committee’s Pro Bono Manual on appellate pro bono opportunities in Mississippi. He also co-chairs ABI’s Ethics and Professional Compensation Committee, currently serves on the pro bono panels for the Fifth and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeals, and recently handled an appeal of an order removing a Yemeni refugee who had been kidnapped, imprisoned and tortured at the hands of an opposing political party. He also speaks to area high school students on the legal profession and what that career path entails. Anzenberger received his J.D. summa cum laude from the Mississippi College School of Law in 2011 and his B.A. in political science from North Carolina State University in 2007.
“The 2022 honorees continually display the acumen, energy and passion in both their careers and communities to demonstrate that they are the future leaders of the insolvency profession,” said ABI Executive Director Amy Quackenboss. “This year’s class, like those in years past, brings together a widely diverse collection of young leaders who we fully expect will propel ABI and the insolvency community forward.”
The “40 Under 40” winners are distinguished by professional achievements and service and were selected by a group of experienced professionals from ABI’s current leadership. Now in its sixth year, the goal of ABI’s “40 under 40” initiative is not simply to create a one-time ceremony, but to fully engage those selected as future leaders in the insolvency profession and to build on the initiative each year.
