Alexandria, Va. ABI announces that Morris Alhale of AlixPartners, LLP (New York) has been selected as one of ABI’s “40 Under 40,” ABI’s annual program that recognizes 40 of the top insolvency industry professionals under the age of 40. The honorees will be recognized at a special ceremony on Dec. 9 at ABI’s 2022 Winter Leadership Conference at the La Quinta Resort & Club in La Quinta, Calif.

Alhale is a director in the Turnaround & Restructuring practice at AlixPartners, LLP and a senior member of the firm’s Healthcare & Life Sciences industry practice. He has more than 12 years of experience as a restructuring advisor and has provided leadership to companies, boards of directors, lenders and other interested parties in all stages of restructuring transactions, from in-court reorganizations to out-of-court restructurings. Alhale serves on AlixPartners’ Onboarding & Development Committee, through which he supports onboarding initiatives for new hires and developed a training course on waterfall recovery analysis that is available to professionals in the firm’s Turnaround & Restructuring practice. He also participates in pro bono initiatives to mentor entrepreneurs, working with small business owners to help them address financing issues or manage creditor disputes. Alhale is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor and a member of ABI, the Turnaround Management Association and the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors. He is also a member of the UJA NextGen Restructuring committee, through which he supports the Jewish community in New York and the restructuring community. Alhale received his B.S. cum laude from Boston University Questrom School of Business.

“The 2022 honorees continually display the acumen, energy and passion in both their careers and communities to demonstrate that they are the future leaders of the insolvency profession,” said ABI Executive Director Amy Quackenboss. “This year’s class, like those in years past, brings together a widely diverse collection of young leaders who we fully expect will propel ABI and the insolvency community forward.”

The “40 Under 40” winners are distinguished by professional achievements and service and were selected by a group of experienced professionals from ABI’s current leadership. Now in its sixth year, the goal of ABI’s “40 under 40” initiative is not simply to create a one-time ceremony, but to fully engage those selected as future leaders in the insolvency profession and to build on the initiative each year.
