Ashley Mcdow of Foley & Lardner LLP Selected as One of Abi’s 2019 “40 Under 40”

Alexandria, Va. ABI announces that Ashley McDow of Foley & Lardner LLP (Los Angeles) has been selected as one of ABI’s “40 Under 40,” ABI’s annual program that recognizes 40 of the top insolvency industry professionals under the age of 40. Honorees will be recognized at a special ceremony during ABI’s 2019 Winter Leadership Conference, taking place Dec. 5-7 at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.

McDow is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP in Los Angeles and practices primarily in the areas of bankruptcy and commercial law, focusing principally on the representation of debtors in possession and creditor committees in both corporate and individual chapter 11 reorganizations, chapter 7 and 11 trustees, and parties to various adversary proceedings. McDow serves as an editor on the editorial board of the California Bankruptcy Journal and has authored a number of publications on bankruptcy and commercial law topics, including critical-vendor motions, perfection of security interests in intellectual property and the enforcement of state court judgments in bankruptcy. She also has guest lectured at the University of California Irvine School of Law on insolvency and restructuring matters. McDow was recognized in Chambers USA for Bankruptcy/Restructuring in California in 2016, 2017 and 2018, and as a Southern California Super Lawyers "Rising Star" from 2011-17. She received her J.D. from Loyola Law School in 2006 and B.A. from the University of Washington in 2003.

Gerdano. “We look forward to engaging these young leaders in the full range of ABI's activities, in service to the profession.”

The “40 Under 40” winners are distinguished by professional achievements and service and were selected by a group of experienced professionals from ABI’s current leadership. Nominations were submitted via the initiative’s website, through which professionals nominated themselves or a colleague. Membership in ABI was not required, and more than 350 candidates were evaluated. Those selected were chosen from both large and small firms from every region of the country, and represent diverse practice areas such as law, finance, accounting, consulting, academia, government and more.
