Alexandria, Va. — Detroit-area practitioners will have the opportunity to examine current issues affecting consumer bankruptcy debtors and creditors at the American Bankruptcy Institute’s (ABI) Hon. Steven W. Rhodes Consumer Bankruptcy Conference on Nov. 11 (Veteran’s Day) at the Somerset Inn in Troy, Mich. Faculty members include experienced local chapter 7 and 13 consumer attorneys, bankruptcy judges and panel trustees from around Michigan. The judicial chair of the conference, cosponsored by the Consumer Bankruptcy Association of the Eastern District of Michigan, is Bankruptcy Chief Judge Philip J. Shefferly (E.D. Mich.; Detroit) and the conference chair is consumer practitioner Caralyce M. Lassner (Utica, Mich.).
