ABI's "Delaware Bankruptcy: Views from the Bench" Program on Nov. 23 Features Dynamic Sessions and a Keynote by Former Detroit Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr

Alexandria, Va. — The American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) and the Delaware State Bar Association are partnering once again to present the “Delaware Bankruptcy: Views from the Bench” program on Nov. 23. Featuring perspectives of judges of the Delaware bankruptcy bench and leading bankruptcy practitioners, the program will take place at the historic Hotel du Pont in downtown Wilmington. The program will also feature a luncheon keynote from Kevyn Orr of Jones Day LLP (Washington, D.C). As Detroit’s Emergency Manager, Orr oversaw the largest and most complicated municipal bankruptcy proceeding in U.S. history.

 

Sessions include:

 

  • Bankruptcy Litigation: Emerging Tactics and the Do’s and Don’ts
  • Delaware Fiduciary Litigation Meets Distress and Bankruptcy
  • We’ve Gotta Get Out of This Place: Finding Exits in Difficult Cases
  • The Evolving Dynamics of Secured Lending and the Rights of Secured Creditors
