<h3>New Consumer Handbook Now Available</h3>

<p>The fundamentals of chapters 7 and 13 are explained in a new ABI book, written by <b>Thomas Yerbich</b> (Anchorage,
Alaska). Tom is the co-vice chair of ABI's Consumer Bankruptcy Committee and a contributing editor of the
Consumer Corner column of the <i>ABI Journal.</i> The 130-page handbook is ideal for new attorneys and support staff,
covering procedural steps such as pre-petition payments, discharge and dischargeability, automatic stay and its
exceptions and creditor concerns. Also included are commonly asked questions and answers, a glossary of terms
and a guide to the schedules. The new book can be purchased in bulk orders (10 or more) for $5. Order online at

</p><h3>Annual Report Released</h3>

<p>The <i>2003-04 ABI Annual Report and Calendar</i> is enclosed with the November issue of the <i>ABI Journal.</i>

The colorful and useful guide highlights many of the year's achievements and lists key conference dates for ABI's
2004 programs. The <i>Annual Report</i> is also available online at ABI World.

</p><h3>USDA Educational Program Set</h3>

<p>ABI's educational program for U.S. Department of Agriculture attorneys involved with Perishable
Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA) issues in bankruptcy cases is set for Nov. 19. Participants will be <b>Jordan Kroop</b> (Squire, Sanders &amp; Dempsey; Phoenix), <b>Nancy Peterman</b> (Greenberg Traurig; Chicago), <b>Rebecca Roof</b>

(AlixPartners; New York) and ABI Resident Scholar <b>Marianne Culhane.</b> The program will be held at USDA's
offices and viewed by regional staff via teleconference.

</p><h3>GlobalINSOLvency.com Update</h3>

<p>ABI's new web site on international bankruptcy launched during the INSOL conference in Las Vegas last
month. The site contains daily restructuring and financial news from around the world. The site also features
research documents on cross-border protocols and links to many useful sites. Thanks are due to <b>Steven Golick</b> and
