Patriot Coal Corp.'s union workers and pension beneficiaries are taking aim at the company's plan to pay bonuses to certain employees, Dow Jones Daily Bankruptcy Review reported today. In a court filing on Friday, lawyers for the United Mine Workers Association asked that the judge deny Patriot's bid to pay up to $7 million in bonuses to 344 employees, as the company seeks billions of dollars in union cuts.
