Franklin Credit Holding Corp., a holding company for a struggling subprime mortgage servicer, filed for chapter 11 protection on Monday with a reorganization plan in hand to liquidate its assets, Dow Jones DBR Small Cap reported today. Under the plan, the holding company's assets would be liquidated, and the proceeds or fair-market value of the assets would be distributed to stakeholders.
