American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) has released the

size='3'>, an updated version to reflect the recent modifications to the

EU Insolvency Regulation. The book was written by Prof. Bob Wessels
of

wrote the first edition in 2003 after the European Union’s
insolvency regulation was implemented in May 2002, replacing a number of

bilateral insolvency treaties.

The updated version
of European Union
Regulation on Insolvency Proceedings is a
primer that covers jurisdictional issues, “winding-up”
procedures such as the appointment of a liquidator, recognition of
judgments, creditors’ rights and other provisions. This book is an

invaluable resource for professionals who find themselves increasingly
involved in cross-border insolvency cases.
