The co-owner of a vessel that is a key element of Excel Maritime Carriers Ltd.'s bankruptcy restructuring strategy is seeking emergency court aid to probe what it says are suspicious dealings involving the ship, the MV Christine, Dow Jones Daily Bankruptcy Review reported today. Robertson Maritime Investors LLC says that it is "anxious to learn more" about who's making the decisions about the vessel before it goes to court over Excel Maritime's chapter 11 plan offer. With Excel's bankruptcy case on the "fast track" for decision, Robertson Maritime says it needs hard information about recent dealings involving the Christine and isn't getting cooperation from the company.
