Segal & Segal LLP (New
York
) has been elected to
ABI’s Board of
Directors.
An
w:st='on'>ABI
member since 1985,
Togut was a
member of the practitioner advisory panel for the
w:st='on'>ABI
Endowment Fund's landmark professional
fee study. Hewill serve a
term of three years on the 60-member
w:st='on'>ABI
Board of Directors.

Togut is a senior partner with
Togut, Segal & Segal LLP, where he has specialized exclusively in
bankruptcy law for the last 31 years. His firm has served as conflicts
or co-counsel in cases including Delphi, Enron and
w:st='on'>St. Vincent
's Hospital, among others, and has
served as primary counsel to Rockefeller Center Properties, SK Global,
Olympia & York World Financial Center, Daewoo America Corp., Alpha
Steel Co., OnSite Access and many others. His firm represented the
creditors’ committee in UniCapital Corp., Jacom, Golden Books and
other prominent cases. Since 1981, Togut has served as trustee in
bankruptcy in thousands of cases under chapters 11 and 7 of the
Bankruptcy Code, including Refco LLC, Kingston Square Associates, Axona
International and several large manufacturing companies. He has written
and lectured on many topics under the former Bankruptcy Act and current
Bankruptcy Code, and is a Fellow of the
w:st='on'>American
College
of
Bankruptcy.
