
Alexandria, Va.— ABI announces that Alexa Kranzley of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP (New York) has been selected for ABI’s “40 Under 40,” recognizing 40 of the top insolvency industry professionals under the age of 40. This year’s awardees will be formally recognized at ABI’s 2018 Winter Leadership Conference, taking place Dec. 6-8 at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Kranzley is a special counsel in Sullivan & Cromwell’s Finance and Restructuring Group and an active member of the firm’s Women’s Initiative Committee and Asian Associates Network, and she participates in the recruitment and development of associates. She represents companies and creditors in chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court corporate and financial restructurings, as well as private-equity and hedge funds in connection with distressed transactions and special-situation investments. Kranzley has experience handling adversary proceedings, contested matters and both debtor and creditor representations in bankruptcy proceedings. She also collaborates with the firm’s other offices on substantive international matters involving restructurings in other jurisdictions.
Kranzley is recognized in the IFLR1000 2018 as a “Rising Star.” In 2017, she was nominated and inducted into the International Insolvency Institute’s NextGen Leadership Program, which recognizes “Rising Stars” in the international insolvency area.
Kranzley has an international background, having lived in Hong Kong, Philadelphia, Singapore and Shanghai.

The “40 Under 40” winners are distinguished by professional achievements and service and were selected by a group of experienced professionals from ABI’s current leadership. Nominations were submitted via the initiative’s website, through which professionals nominated themselves or a colleague. Membership in ABI was not required, and more than 200 candidates were evaluated. Those selected were chosen from both large and small firms from every region of the country, and represent diverse practice areas such as law, finance, accounting, consulting, academia, government and more.
